The viral sensation Pentatonix returns to Prague after two years. A capella quintet will stop in Forum Karlin on June 9th 2016 within their The World Tour 2016. American Us The Duo will perform as a special guest. Limited amount of tickets is going on sale on March 3rd at 11 am via fource.cz. General onsale starts a day later, March 4th, at 11 am via fource.cz, GoOut.cz and Ticketpro. The ticket price is 790 CZK.
The band was founded by three friends at school. They first made a cover of single Telephone by Lady Gaga, which brought first success on youtube. However, they got much bigger attention after winning an American talent contest in 2011. That is also why the original trio expanded to a quintet. Using only their own vocal range and beatbox, they started making remakes of famous hits and released one succesful video after another. Their channel currently has over ten million subscribers and their videos more than 1.4 billion views. Pentatonix got several gold and platinum records, all their albums reached Top 5 best selling albums by Billboard and they also won two prestigious Grammy Awards. Their shows and tours are sold out world wide. There is a documentary movie On My Way Home that shows behind the scenes from their North American tour.
