Wild Nothing is a project of Los Angeles-based Jack Tatum. Founded in 2009, the band has recorded four albums so far. The latest one called Indigo, dealing with the relationship between technology and people, will be presented in Rock Café as the band’s first Czech show ever.
Indigo is its own cyborg world, utilizing the artful mechanisms of human touch with the precision of technology to create the classic, pristine sound Tatum has been seeking his entire career. It finds Tatum at his most efficient, calculated, and confident after a decade of making music as Wild Nothing. “I was thinking about the way we’ve merged ourselves with AI, seeing that subtle, blue iPhone glow on everyone’s faces, and envisioning this color being representative of our effort to embrace this change in humanity. So it’s about the idea of this backlit reality we all live in, and how to accept that,” he describes.
